    Daily Telegraph (UK)

No classic but largely a return to form then. Those non-nerdy, not-remotely-geeky, lady-killing fans must be mighty relieved.

Blimey, how about this. The new Red Dwarf was pretty funny.

Red Dwarf X sees the boys back on form The hairlines may be receding and the faces may be heavier in the jowl but the boys from the Dwarf are an irrepressible bunch...

    Radio Times

Humour is subjective, agreed, and there are some good gags and off-the-wall metaphors to savour, but, as much as I wanted it to be, Trojan just wasn't on a par with classics like Queeg, Marooned, White Hole or Legion from the show's past.

    Starburst
    April 20, 2018

By focusing on them and allowing them be as cowardly, slobbish or stupid as ever, writer/director Doug Naylor has rekindled the winning formula and produced an extremely promising opening episode.

    Guardian
    April 20, 2018

On the basis of the mini-series and as a former adolescent fan, I'd been worried what I would make of the new episode. In fact, I enjoyed it a great deal...

    Independent (UK)
    April 20, 2018

Its best jokes aren't transcribable because they sit in the air between the characters, but I laughed.

    Guardian
    April 20, 2018

Red Dwarf the sitcom is, like Red Dwarf the spaceship, creaky, old, underpowered and more or less indestructible.
