    L.A. Weekly
    August 27, 2003

Repeatedly falls back on poorly staged, choppily edited (and gunplay-heavy) fight scenes between Chan and a gloomy, power-mad villain.

    Entertainment Weekly
    August 27, 2003

Makes you long for Tucker -- and for Jackie Chan to fly without digital wings.

    Village Voice
    August 26, 2003

This outing, Jackie doesn't bring much humor or personality to his role.

    Salon.com
    August 23, 2003

If writers think that they have to give Jackie Chan superpowers and special effects in order for him to do amazing things, they clearly have no idea who they're writing for.

    Washington Post
    August 22, 2003

Chan's normally homegrown stuntwork is replaced by a lot of wire fighting and special effects.

    Washington Post
    August 22, 2003

So cheesy and cheap that it almost attains high camp.

    Common Sense Media
    December 28, 2010

Die-hard Jackie Chan fans may be disappointed.

Probably the worst Jackie Chan vehicle to come around in his career...

    Combustible Celluloid
    March 21, 2008

With smooth, energetic direction by Gordon Chan and a love interest in the beautiful Claire Forlani, The Medallion shapes up as one of Jackie Chan's best American films.

    Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
    January 29, 2005

The Medallion is an honest machine for making money, a meritorious entrepreneurial model.

    Tyler Morning Telegraph (Texas)

... enough distractions to carry us through the doldrums.

    Worcester Telegram & Gazette
    January 02, 2004

For Jackie Chan... the moment of truth may have finally come. Nearly 50... the undeniably engaging star may be near the end of his shelf life as an action figure.
