Her mother is an artist, writer, and homemaker, and her father was in sales as well as a community theater actor. An accomplished New York City television personality and author, Terra has been highly influential in the U.S. on such family topics as healthy living, eco lifestyle, and parenting. She is also a trained actress and has starred on the CBS series Criminal Minds (2005), been a series regular in the pilot "Rx," and recently a supporting character in James Franco's Mississippi Requiem.
