Alyson Fouse was born and raised in Compton, California by her two loving parents, Alvin and Mable Fouse. One of her earliest memories was sitting on her father's lap while he read her the Sunday comics. This lead to her love of reading. It wasn't until Alyson was a little girl in church that she realized she had a passion for writing, too. After hearing her mother read the church minutes she'd written in away that kept the congregation engaged and entertained. Alyson knew at that moment she wanted to become a writer.Alyson began her career in radio when she submitted an unsolicited sketch to a popular Los Angeles morning show, "John London and The House Party" on 92.3 The Beat. She was hired as their first ever free-lance writer. Just a month later, one of her sketches caught the attention of Keenen Ivory Wayans.Alyson was then hired to work with the creator of "In Living Color" on his late night talk program, "The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show". After that she continued to work with Keenen on "Scary Movie", and "Scary Movie 2". Then her career in sitcom began.Alyson has worked with some of the best names in comedy. Writing and producing with Damon Wayans on "My Wife And Kids"; Wanda Sykes on "Wanda At Large", "Wanda Does It'', and "The Wanda Sykes Show"; Don Reo and Brad Garret on "'Til Death"; also Chris Rock on "Everybody Hates Chris", for which she received a WGA nomination, and in 2007, recognition from AFI for contributing to America's cultural legacy. She was also acknowledged for her work on the sitcom "Brothers" when she was nominated for a NAACP Image Award.Still, in the midst of a busy TV career, Alyson also penned three very successful sequels for Universal Studios Home Entertainment entitled, "Bring It On: All or Nothing", Bring It On: In It to Win It", and "Bring It On: Fight to The Finish". Another sequel, "Honey 2" is now playing in theaters overseas and is set for release in the United States in the February of 2012.Since showing interest in the independent film world, Alyson has executive produced the short film, "Texas Toast" written by playwright Robert Hensley.You can follow Alyson @alysonfouse on Twitter.
